Zona Franca Grecia is the first industrial free zone in Costa Rica that is developed as part of a mixed-use project: Costa Rica Green Valley, which will be made up of components: industrial, corporate, commercial and residential.

This project was conceived under a unique, sustainable and innovative model, which contemplates an ideal space focused on attracting world leading companies, corporate services and manufacturing.

It is a 300-hectare development with the capacity to offer a wide range of services, amenities and protected green areas for the enjoyment of those who work in established companies, visitors and the communities in its area of ​​influence.

¨As an initial stage of the project, since 2020 the Real Estate Portfolio began with the development of the first phase of Zona Franca Grecia, 12 hectares out of a total of 72, destined to attract manufacturing and logistics companies, with technological and innovation, which are aligned with a clear vision of sustainability”, indicated Arnoldo Estrada, Director of the Costa Rica Green Valley project.

On the other hand, the Costa Rica Green Valley masterplan includes stages of commercial use that will offer strategic services and amenities for the enjoyment of the surrounding communities. The mix of use in this project brings benefits to investors, workforce and surrounding communities, such as:

1. Formal and well-paid employment: The attraction of corporate services and manufacturing companies bring with them employment requirements of thousands of people who will enter a formal and well-paid employment environment, which will offer them both professional and personal growth opportunities. This has repercussions in an important ac/vation of the local and regional economy. Costa Rica Green Valley will contribute to the generation of employment throughout the project's life cycle, from the construction processes of each of its phases, to its operation. 2. Activation of productive chains: Costa Rica Green Valley will allow the creation of links and alliances between companies that can complement each other.

3. Mobility: This project seeks to attract investment where talent is outside the Greater Metropolitan Area. People will be able to work and enjoy their free time in the same place in the West, without the need to travel to other parts of the country.

4. Access to first-class infrastructure: Being a mixed-use project, the infrastructure of the water, sewage, electricity and telecommunications systems was designed with the highest international standards.

- Electrical service: Regarding electrical service, Costa Rica is known for its high sustainability, since around 99% of the electrical matrix comes from renewable sources, such as hydraulic, geothermal, wind, solar, and biomass.

Costa Rica Green Valley has 3 substations and 5 distribution lines, this guarantees a reliable and sustainable energy supply for the project, with 24/7 support.

- Drinking water supply: For the infrastructure of the water supply in Costa Rica Green Valley, various sources are used, such as: roasts, water wells and the Municipal Aqueduct of Grecia, to ensure a reliable and sufficient supply for the residents. and visitors.
