A vehicle powered by solar energy panels is traveling the world to demonstrate that there are solutions to global warming and the transition from fossil fuels to clean renewable energy.

“The Solar Butterfly” has Costa Rica as one of its stops, it will arrive this Monday, January 8, at Avenida Escazú, starting at 11:30 a.m.

The Solar Butterfly is equipped with solar panels and environmentally friendly materials.

"These types of initiatives motivate people and companies to take different actions to mitigate their environmental footprint and look for more sustainable alternatives. Therefore, we have chosen to hold this event in one of the main shopping centers in the country, recognized for its leadership in sustainability. "commented Luis Gabriel Chaves, General Manager of GOSOLAR.

The project is not only intended to be a visual spectacle, but also a catalyst for discussions about the adoption of clean technologies and their role in reducing carbon emissions.

"This exhibition constitutes a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the synergy between technology, sustainability and climate awareness. This has significant relevance for Avenida Escazú, which has 2,918 solar panels distributed throughout the project, covering approximately 40% of total monthly energy consumption and reaffirms our commitment to sustainable development," said Johnny Jaikel, director of Avenida Escazú.
