New medical tower on Avenida Escazú required an investment of $13 million and will house 337 health professionals

It is a 10,000 square meter building, with an installed capacity for 135 doctor's offices.


The developer company Portafolio Inmobiliario announced this Tuesday 1st. June the opening of the second medical tower of the project called Avenida Médica, a complex of medical offices located on Avenida Escazú.


The new tower —with which Avenida Médica completed its expansion process— implied a total investment of $ 13 million and it is estimated that it will house 337 health professionals and medical assistants.


Likewise, it is a 10,000 square meter building, with an installed capacity for 135 offices.

In its entirety, the Avenida Médica project with its two towers consists of 270 doctor's offices, 11 premises located on the first level, waiting rooms on all levels, a cafeteria, a central plaza and a dining room for employees.


The project is committed to becoming the new capital of health in Escazú.
"Real Estate Portfolio is committed to the medical industry with the construction of this tower to consolidate Avenida Médica as the most important destination in the country for health and medicine issues," said Johnny Jaikel, director of the Escazú Avenue Project.

Jaikel also affirmed that the medical offer is varied, so that users will be able to find health services in cardiology, dermatology, dentistry, orthopedics, ophthalmology, psychology, nutrition and other specialties.


On the other hand, according to the press release, the new medical tower is the first building in Costa Rica to implement the installation of prefabricated facades, which provide benefits such as a reduction in the construction period; waste reduction; energy saving; thermal efficiency; energy efficiency during operation; and reducing the carbon footprint.
