Nitrile Gloves announces construction of plant in Costa Rica

Company manufactures and markets nitrile latex gloves, for surgical and general use.
Company will settle in the Costa Rica Green Valley Free Trade Zone in Grecia, Costa Rica. This is the first confirmed project for this real estate development.
Greece, Costa Rica. September 1, 2021 - The company with partners of Mexican origin, Nitrile Gloves, announced that it will invest in the construction of a 4,000 m2 plant for the manufacture of nitrile gloves in Costa Rica.
 
The company will be installed in the business park, Costa Rica Green Valley, a mixed-use development under the format of a free zone, located in Grecia, Alajuela.
 
The President of the Republic, Carlos Alvarado highlighted the special relevance of investment by companies outside the Greater Metropolitan Area, and in particular this, which has become the first confirmed project in this new free zone, because it contributes to boosting the regional economy.
 
"This type of investment makes me very happy, since it is in line with the Territorial Strategy that has been developing in an attempt to attract foreign direct investment and jobs to the different regions of the country," added the president.
 
The experience of more than 55 years in the production of gloves, the need arising from the pandemic, as well as the daily use and awareness of the protection and care of the hands, prompted Nitrile Gloves to start a new project of nitrile gloves in Costa Rica, taking advantage of the facilities and benefits that the country provides to install investment projects of this type.
 
The Minister of Foreign Trade, Andrés Valenciano, was pleased and commented: “The announcement of the installation of the Nitrile Gloves plant in Greece shows the fruits of our commitment to reduce existing gaps between the Greater Metropolitan Area and rural areas, through strong foreign direct investment commitments.
